Access Your Hidden Abilities
We are all aware of the five senses, but how many of us are equally aware of the other sensesthe ones that allow us to see, hear and experience things far beyond our physical limitations?
Psychic abilities are often thought of as the privilege of gifted few, but things like clairvoyance, telepathy, clairaudience and intuition are innate in all of us. All we need to do is find ways to unlock them and develop them to their full potential.
Latent psychic talents
Even people who don`t believe in psychic experiences have had one at some point in their lives. Things like deja vu, a gut feeling, or knowing who is on the other end of the telephone before you answer it, are all examples of the psychic abilities we are all born with.
Unfortunately, in this modern age, few of us have the time or inclination to tap into these reserves and use them in our daily lives. Instead, the focus is on developing our physical forms and using our mental abilities to deal with the stresses and strains we encounter.
Even our ancient ancestors used their psychic abilities. There is ample evidence to support the idea that cave paintings were used as an early form of positive thinking. Pictures of prey would be daubed on the walls, focussing the psychic energies of the tribe on attaining what they really neededin this example, food. If we were able to harness our hidden gifts today, consider just how much more we could achieve in our everyday lives, both for ourselves and for other people.
Developing your subconscious mind
Turning a gut feeling into fully-formed intuition, or uncanny guesses into a precognitive talent, isnt entirely possible. All it requires is the development of your subconscious mind.
The subconscious is a powerful psychic tool, and only by learning how to access it will you be able to discover just what your psychic strengths are. The secret is to repeatedly instruct your subconscious to develop those psychic abilities.
Your subconscious doesn't know the difference between real and imagined events. When you become involved in a book or a film, your subconscious reacts accordingly, creating physical responses. Feelings of tension, fear or joy can seem very real, despite the fact that your conscious mind is aware that the situation is fictitious. In the same way, any instructions you give to the subconscious will be interpreted as real. The subconscious will do all in its power to follow these instructions.
Meditation is a good starting point. Achieving a trance-like state is easier than you might think. Most of us have experienced driving a car and being unable to recall certain parts of the journey. This is because conscious mind has taken a back seat and the subconscious has come to the fore. Daydreams are a similar phenomenon. In meditating, you are allowing the subconscious to surface, whilst maintaining an awareness that allows you to issue positive instructions. During these light trances, tell your subconscious to reveal your psychic strength and develop it. The subconscious will respond as long as the instructions are presented in a positive light.
Keep a diary
After each meditation, keep a diary. Note how you feel, and write down any significant events that happened between sessions. Before the next meditation, look at the diary and visualise what happened, recreating how you felt during the process. Try and bring these images and feelings with you as you enter your next trance. This will give your subconscious reference material to look on and decide which areas need to be strengthened.
While developing your psychic gifts is never a story of overnight success, you will notice subtle changes very soon. Typically, it is a persons intuition that begins to develop first. As one of our primary survival senses from the past, it is the gift that most people can access quickly. However, as you improve your connection with the subconscious mind, you will soon find that your strongest psychic abilities are being revealed.
