Understanding a Leo
The sign of LEO is the lion, which is a good depiction of the characteristics and personality of those born under this star sign. The ruling planet is the SUN, which is highlighted by to hot-headed attitude that Leo’s can often have. Plus it is a FIRE sign, which links with it, so the message seems to be - don’t mess with LEO’s or you could regret it!
Just like the lion, they are very much family orientated and consider the members of their extended family and friends as being very important to them as they are very loving and loyal in their relationships. They have very many more traits of the lion in that it is the lion’s style to stalk their prey, no matter how long it takes to get what they want and this can also be seen in the ways LEO characters carry out their daily lives.
Leo at Work
They go through each day with a fairly clear idea of what it is they want from that day and with their end goal in sight. They are very direct about what they want and cunningly work out how to get just that! This, when related to work, can show itself in the cunning methods they can use to engage that prey in the first place. Being the ‘go to’ person when tasks need doing and putting themselves out to help others at work to make things run smoothly are what endears them to others and gets them noticed. Then, slowly they can progress in the work field, until they reach the level that they have been after.
Leo in Love
In the romance situation it is very similar. Having spotted someone they feel drawn towards they move slowly to make themselves known. It is likely that they will befriend the chosen persons friends and family at first, before moving in on their ‘prey’. Make no mistake though, they are deeply loving, trusting and caring once they fall in love. Romance is high on the agenda and they can be very sentimental, hanging on to small items, such as a cinema ticket to remind them of their loved one while away from them.
Don’t Hurt a Lion’s Pride...
One of their downsides though is that they can be very moody, especially when things don’t go the way they want them to! Just like the wounded lion, they should be avoided at all costs once this mood begins because this is the time they will strike out at anything and everything that gets in their way. When this happens they are best left alone to re-assess their next move. Saving face is very necessary for them especially in situations that upset them, so it may be better to try to pretend it never happened and just get on with life until they come round! But remember, just like elephants, they have very long memories and can carry grudges for a long, long time!
With the Full Moon coming up on July 27th it would be advisable to consider holding your tongue until it passes towards a New Moon, which is due to fall on 11th August. The signs are all showing that this year will be one of great changes for you in both financial and relationship matters. Other dates which show favourably for you are August 2nd and 15th.
