Is Our Destiny to Be Able to Connect with One Another?

There is much conversation about being one and what we do to others – good or bad – we are in effect doing to ourselves too.

But what does this statement really mean? And is it true?

Recently I built myself a vegetable plot in our new home. I dug up a corner of the lawn and planted some seeds rather as an experiment to see what I could do. To my delight two cucumber plants have flourished and grown. Guided by a friend who is more competent than me with gardening, I gave each plant a stick to grow up. They naturally wind themselves around it and then the cucumbers will hang as they grow rather than lie on the ground damaging their skin. 

Both plants started their journey up their respective sticks when suddenly they turned, faced each other and wound around one another as if they were hugging. Just look at them, doesn’t it look and feel good?

Having entwined themselves around each other, they proceeded to climb up each other’s stick and happily grew new fruits in their new locations. What I took from this observation is:

Plants clearly live in a community and connect with one another.

Mother Nature is demonstrating to us, we are not designed to be separate and alone as perhaps we are taught but to connect with one another and to thrive. It is as true in the Human Kingdom as it is in the Plant Kingdom.

Admittedly connection with someone else may initially be driven by instincts and the need to procreate and continue with our species. But ultimately, I believe it is from a desire to share, help one another and to experience Universal Love. This is not romantic love with an individual but a slightly more impersonal love full of acceptance, nurturing and guidance.

Universal Love is an intelligent energy.

Anyone can enjoy it if they choose to connect with it.

How do you connect with Universal Energy?

Your intuition is like a radio sender and receiver within you. Everyone has one. You can use it to connect with your guide, soul, passed loved ones but also to connect with the web of Universal Love around you. There you can ask questions and seek wisdom to help you in your life.

To connect with Universal Love:

• Place your hand on your heart.
• Take three deep breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth.
• Take your consciousness to your heart and allow it to relax and just be. Feel it settle and sink deep within to a quiet place.

In that quiet place you can seek wise guidance by asking a very simple question. You will receive an answer but you need to be alert to receive it. Mostly it doesn’t arrive in words but rather as a feeling or knowing.

Give it a try and feel how nurturing it can be.

No-one needs feel alone.
