Working with Crystals: How to programme them

Today we will focus on how to charge or program your crystals. If you intend to use crystals for many different purposes, it is advisable to keep several ones, each individually programmed and each to be used only for that specific purpose.

It is a known fact that crystals can retain patterns of thought which have been fed into them and for this reason the “programming” of the crystal is a significant process.

The most key factor when programming a crystal is the intention of the person whose thought processes are fed into it, so being in a clear positive and peaceful frame of mind is of utmost importance, especially if you are going to be using the crystal for healing work on others.

 

Programming Crystals:

Once you have cleansed and purified your crystal, the next stage before you start working with it is to take the time to “charge”  it and attune to it.  So, for this process, it is important that you are in a peaceful and relaxed state of mind.

Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed, sit in a comfortable chair, holding the crystal gently in your hands.

Spend a moment or two studying the crystal so that you get to know its shape and dimension. Run your fingers over it so that you experience the feel of it. Look into it and see it in as much detail as possible.

Now close your eyes, still retaining in your mind the image of the crystal and its outward feel and appearance.

Next spend a few moments consciously relaxing both body and mind. Start with your body and working upwards from the feet, tense and relax each set of muscles in turn until you are free from the physical tension which we all carry around with us.

As you sit quietly, crystal in your hands, imagine a large circle of white light forming around you on the ground, let this circle become a spiral, layer upon layer of pure white light building up around you, and in a “clockwise direction,” until it reaches the level above your head.

 

Then allow the spiral to close above your head so that you and your crystal are together, safely enclosed within that pure white light, hold that image for several moments before allowing it to fade.

 

Once that energy link has been established, it is sufficient to will the crystal to be used for a particular purpose like for healing, using in a meditation or for assisting you with a psychic experience, whatever it is, all you need to do is to tell the crystal what you wish it to help you with, this can be said out loud or telepathically either way the crystal will pick up this intent.

 

Finally, thank your crystal for being available to help you with what you would like it to be used for, as this energy will be picked up by the crystal, giving you a stronger connection and bond.

Now it is ready for use.
